SATURDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER AT 6.30PM
Brompton is delighted to welcome Master of Wine Richard Bampfield to tutor a very special Champagne Tasting to coincide with the National Trust’s property Attingham Park’s Festival of Food. Richard is an experienced wine professional with over 27 years in the international wine business and is currently chairman of the Association of Wine Educators. One of only 250 Masters of Wine worldwide, Richard lectures regularly on all aspects of wine for the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. In 2009 Richard won the European Champagne Ambassador’s Award taking on competitors from seven other European countries. ‘Drinking Champagne is one of life’s great pleasures and helping others appreciate Champagne has always felt more like a labour of love than real work. I am really proud and excited to be European Champagne Ambassador 2009 and will be doing my best to ensure Champagne’s continued success – both as an educator and as a thirsty consumer.’ The evening will begin at 6.30 pm and will include fabulous canapés. Come and have fun leaning something new about a wine we all love to drink. Prepare to be amazed! Tickets are limited so early booking advisable. £50.

Join Tim Main, on a practical day understanding what makes up a pig carcass and how to make sausages and charcuterie (salami, chorizo and air dried ham). Tim has around 12 years experience of home rearing and curing.
