Half Day Courses

COURSE LIST 2018 September-December


All courses include full use of equipment and all ingredients are provided.

Our half days courses start at 10am and we aim to be finished by 2pm. Every course will include lunch which you will have created on the day. An enrolment form will need to be completed before you can attend the course. This enables us to tailor the recipes to suit all dietary needs. Please contact the office by phone or email to book.

Canapés & Petit Fours

This Half day course course will equip you with skills and ideas to create delicious show stopping canapés & petit fours that you can easily recreate at home. Our chef will also give you lots of tips, recipe suggestions and ideas on presentation.

Stocks & Sauces

Sauces are the heart of any great cuisine and this course will teach you to make a range of classic sauces to enhance your cookery. This course is aimed at anyone wanting to take their cooking to the next level by learning what makes a great sauce, and what sauces are suited to what ingredients. We will teach you how to master the fundamental sauces such as Hollandaise, Bearnaise, Salsa Verde, Red wine Jus and more. Adding great sauces to your dishes will take your cookery to the next level.


On this popular half day course you’ll learn how to create Delicious traditional Spanish tapas, while being creative and learning other styles of small plate eating, that are great for entertaining friends and family.

Cupcake Crazy

Join us on this introduction to cupcake making and decorating. The course is aimed at cupcake decorating beginners. Our chef will introduce you to the world of cupcakes, the morning will involve baking 12 of your own cupcakes, then we will show you how to decorate the cupcakes with lots of different techniques and styles to make them look Instagram worthy.

Simply Impressive

This ever popular course is perfect for helping you create 2 delicious recipes that will show skill and technique in the kitchen, and impress anyone coming for dinner. You’ll create a main course and dessert with a selection of components on each dish. A perfect introduction to our full day course.

Back to Basics

This course is perfect for anyone who feels there are some skills they have forgotten, or some they have never learnt. By the end of this half day course you’ll be confident in mastering the building blocks required to cook more in the kitchen. You’ll create two delicious dishes while learning lots of practical tips and techniques, which will be endlessly useful in your own kitchen. During the day you’ll cover some basic knife skills, learn how to build flavours and balance seasoning in every dish you create.
